Easter egg hunts and Easter events in Dixie 2014!


Easter is just around the corner!  Here is a list of all of the Easter events going on in Southern Utah.  I hope that you are able to enjoy some of these activities with your families!


Bunny Breakfast

Saturday, April 12 @ 9:00 am – 11:15 am

The Bunny Breakfast is an annual fundraiser for the Literacy After School Program.  It is $5 to register online at Community Education or you can pay $7 at the door.  Children of all ages are invited to join in this special event.  They will receive breakfast, a present and a picture with the Easter Bunny!


Easter Celebration Concert in Cedar City

Saturday, April 12 @ 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Community Presbyterian Church
2279 N. Wedgewood Lane
Cedar City, UT

This concert will feature performances from SUU’s Symphony Orchestra, Concert Choir, Opus Chamber Choir, and Women’s Choir.  Tickets are $10 for Adults, $8 for SUU faculty/staff, and $5 for youth.  SUU students are FREE with a valid I.D. card.



Cottontail Scramble

This egg hunt is for kids ages 2-8 years old.  It costs $3 to participate, which includes a hunt bag and a craft.  If you want to purchase a picture with Peter Cottontail, then it is $2 more.  The hunt will begin promptly at 6:00 pm.  You can register for this event in person at the St. George Rec Center, or online at the St. George City website.


Planet 94.1 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt in Cedar City

This is the 3rd Annual Teen Flashlight Hunt in Cedar City.  Youth ages 13-17 are welcome to participate.  Bring your own flashlight for this fun and FREE event!


St. George Polynesian Choir

Friday, April 18th @ 7:00 pm

The St. George Polynesian Choir will perform songs of the Easter season and from the islands in Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian, and Maori.  This is a FREE fireside and everyone is welcome to attend!  The dress is casual, and it will be a fun filled evening!


Easter Egg Dive-In

Kids between ages 1-12 are welcome to come and participate in searching the pools for Easter Eggs!  They will be split into age groups for the hunts.  Registration begins at 11:00 am, and the dive begins at 12:00 pm.  Regular admission fees must be paid to get into the event, which are: Youth Resident $3.50/Non-Resident $5.50, Adult Resident $4/Non-Resident $6.


Washington City Lion’s Club Easter Egg Hunt

Rotary Easter Car Show

Saturday, April 19th @ 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

This year marks the 29th Annual Rotary Easter Car Show!  This popular event usually brings in between 8,000-10,000 people.  A $5.00 charitable donation gets you into the show, and kids 6 and under are free!  Dogs aren’t allowed in the show but there will be a doggie daycare provided by Because Animals Matter.


Ivins Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast

Saturday, April 19th @ 7:30 am, hunt begins @ 9:00 am
Unity Park
400 South between 200 West and 400 West
Ivins, UT

The pancake breakfast begins at 7:30 am and costs $3 per person or $15 for a family (up to 6 people.)  The proceeds go to the Ivins City Volunteer Firefighter Dept.  There are 3 age divisions for the egg hunt.  The 1st division is for those ages 4 and under, but participants must be able to walk and pick up their own eggs.  A parent is allowed to enter the hunting area in this division only to give guidance.  Division 2 is ages 5-8, and division 3 is ages 9-12.  Bring a basket to pick up your eggs!


Cedar City Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 19th @ 9:00 am sharp!

Bring a basket and be ready to have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny at this fun Easter Egg Hunt put on by the Sigma Nu Alumni.  There will be over 23,000 filled eggs hidden plus they are giving away 8 bikes and 100 gift baskets!  This is a FREE event so don’t miss out!



Easter Carnival at Brian Head Resort

The Easter Carnival will take place on Saturday with carnival games. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Sunday. Meet the Easter bunny at both events.

Easter Non-denominational Church Service

On Easter Sunday there will be 2 free traditional Easter church services at the Tuacahn in Ivins.  All are welcome to attend!  A nursery will be provided during the 11:00 session, and there will also be a Children’s church service during that time for kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Calvary Chapel is responsible for providing this lovely worship service.



Southern Utah Heritage Choir “Behold the Lamb of God”

A free Easter concert honoring the Savior and His precious gift to us.  Easter messages will be delivered from President and Sister Stephen Nadauld with guest violinist Dr. Jason Swigert.
